IJTIMA' TABLIGH IN PEKANBARU,RIAU - A JOURNEY AND QUEST FOR THE TRUTH

THE JOURNEY / SATU KEMBARA

DAY ONE : MY FIRST STEP : TUESDAY 31/05/2011/ HAYUNAN LANGKAH AWAL : SELASA 31/5/2011

INTRODUCTION/ PEMBUKAAN BICARA

.PEKANBARU is a region of original Malay's culture with strong Islamic bondage background. If you ask the local people, of their race, them will say " saya melayu ", The Minangs who dominated the town's population remain known as Minangs.. The Malays are largely settled on Riau smaller islands such as Batam,Tanjung Pinang,Pulau Karimun and eastern Sumatera like Rengat'.Gunung Daik bercabang tiga' can be seen if you stroll along the water toward Riau
PEKANBARU adalah daerah Melayu yang secara turun kemurun memilili ragam budaya yang sanga kental dengan nuansa keislaman.Kebanyakkan penduduknya membangsakan diri mereka sebagai Melayu, terutamanya mereka mereka yang berada disekitaran kepulauan Riau seperti di Pulau Batam, Tanjung Pinang dan Karimun.Di tanah besar,anda akan menemui kaum melayu di Rangat.

I've been to PEKANBARU in 1991. It was on the 'tour'of 'dakwah fi sabilillah which i stayed for 40 days in and around Pekanbaru. At that time, our present was welcome by an imam of Masjid Raya, Ustaz Muhammad Yusuf. And it was ,sad that, i was told he had passed away.

Kunjungan saya yang pertama ke PekanBaru adalah pada tahun 1991,dalam rangka rombongan Dakwah dari POndok Penanti,Pulau Pinang.Ketika itu,kunjungan kami telah di sambut baik dan ajakkan dakwah kami telah di terima oleh Imam Masjid Raya Pekanbaru,iaitu Ustaz Yusuf.Kali ini kami di beritahu bahawa beliau telah pulang kerahmatullah.

My intention of coming back to Pekanbaru , after 20 years, was ignited when i was invited by my friend Ustaz Kamalnawawi from Madrasah Maulana Johari,Pahang to attend a gathering of all mubalighs from all over Sumatra, which was named as ' ijtima' Sumatera or Ijtima' Pekanbaru. .After agreed to attend the Ijtima', i then, booked 2 flight with AirAsia.- " where Everyone can fly'..

I started my journey on 31/05/2011 at 10.45pm at Bukit Mertajam Railway station. The expected departure [ ETD] was at 11.00pm. The train arrived at 11.00 sharp but as usual for KTM, this time, it delayed untill 02.00am.So,not to spoil my passion of travelling, I decided to crawl in my bed , which was on top portion, numbered 15 .I then, read my prayer " Allahuma bismika, amuutu wa ahya." and adios into my dream.

Ilham untuk ke Pekanbaru ini di cetus oleh Ustaz Kamalnawawi, seorang Alim dan Hafiz Al-Quran di Sg.Sala,Pahang.

Saya melangkah mula pejalanan ini pada 31/05/2011 pada pukul 10.45 diStesen Keretapi, Bukit Mertajam.Kelemahan pengurusan KTM masih tidak ada sebarang tanda kearahan pemulihan. Keretapi yang dijadualkan bertolak pada jam 11,15 malam, akhirnya bergerak pada pukul 2 pagi.Sabar dan terima takdir adalah satu satunya ubat penenang hati.Pasrah.

DAY TWO: WEDNESDAY 1st JUNE,2011

   DEPARTURE TO PEKANBARU.on 1st JUNE,2011 [ WEDNESDAY
   BERTOLAK KE PEKANBARU PD 21 JAMADIL AKHIR


AT LCCT ,ON 1st JUNE, MET WITH 3 OTHERS WHO HAVE THE SAME INTENTION.TO ATTEND THE ISTIMAQ OF PEKANBARU. ON MY LEFT IS ZAIDI FROM SG.PETANI, WHEREAS THE OTHER2 ON MY RIGHT, I 'VE FORGOT THEIR NAMES. BERTEMU DENGAN 3 RAKAN MUSLIM DARI SUNGAI PETANI DI LAPANGAN LCCT. DI SEBELAH KIRI SAYA IALAH ZAIDI YANG MANA SAYA TELAH MENGENALI DIA SEBELUM INI.

THE TOUCH DOWN/ PENDARATAN

ARRIVAL AT SULTAN SYARIF II , AIRPORT./ MENJEJAK KAKI DI LAPANGAN TERBANG PEKANBARU.[ BANDARA SULTAN SYARIF II PADA JAM 15.01 [ 3:01 PTG ]


AFTER 20 YEARS, I STEP AGAIN ON THESE SOIL OF PEKANBARU / SELEPAS 20 TAHUN ,AKU JEJAK KEMBALI KEBUMI INI.


BANDARA SULTAN SYARIFF II,PEKANBARU, RIAU

I and ustaz Kamalnawawi together with fews other brothers were taken into a four- wheel jeep - KIJANG- to the medan Ijtima' at KUBANG JAYA [about 20 minutes drive ]

THE GARDEN / TAMAN SAKINAT
PEKANBARU was hot and the heat sweated and wetted my whole body.So thus back home, in Bukit Mertajam also hot when i left for Pekanbaru.The Medan Istima' was in the swampy area.The earth was of tanah Gambut ' The ground was indeed soft and dark black.So to overcome this problem, the ' khidmat' brothers covered the earth with " sawed wood dusts which was red brown in colour
Ketibaan kami di sambut oleh sapaan hangat yang menyengat oleh sang matahari.Pekanbaru seperti di Bukit Mertajam sedang dimamah oleh matahari.Tambahan pula ,kami telah ditempatkan dikawasan yang baru diratakan dari tanah paya gambut.Khemah tempat tinggah di bangunkan daripada kanvas nylondan anda bayangkan kehangatannya waktu dinihari.Tapi ini semua kami terima sebagai sekumit kecil dari ' mujahadah' yang perlu dilalui.

Anyway,all our hardship was paid with this beautiful eyes cooler-the little ' garden in the making'.

The Garden situated next our ' foreigner tent' It was newly created.Few 'roots' erected as ' art-piece' plus WITH ceeping Pokok Peria [ edible gourd with bitter taste] scientific name ' momordica charanthia. clinging on the bamboo fences beautified and enchanted the view.

 Kehangatan cuaca telah di 'sejukkan oleh ' taman sukawi' ini.Lihat , tanahnya masih belum di liputi/ di tumbuhi oleh tumbuhan.Tanah baru, mungkin menjelang tahun depan ,taman in akan menghijau lantas melamar hati hati pengunjungnya untuk khuruj 4 bulan. 

ANOTHER ' ART PIECE' FOUND IN THIS GARDEN.

THE ENTRANCE / PINTU ISTIQBAL TO OUR TENT. [ FOR , ALL OUR BROTHERS FROM THAILAND, MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE, SRI LANKA, INDIA AND OTHERS FOREIGN COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE GLOBE, WILL BE PLACED IN THIS TENT.]yOU WILL NOTISE THE CREEPING ' PERIA' TREE WHICH ' GREEN'NED' THE BROWNISH GREEN BAMBOO FENCES.

ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE FROM THE ENTRANCE, YOU WILL FIND THIS POOL ,NEIGHBOUR SIDED TO THE TOILET AREA. THE WHITE HUGE TENT IS OUR FOREIGN'S TENT. THIS VIEW FROM 'TOILET AREA.
